Description

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is the central body responsible for recruiting candidates into various Group B and Group C posts across ministries and departments of the Government of India.

SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level):

For graduates; recruits for posts like Income Tax Inspector and Assistant Section Officer.

SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level):

For 10+2 (12th pass) candidates; for roles like LDC and Data Entry Operator.

SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff): For 10th pass candidates; recruits for non-technical support staff roles.

SSC GD (General Duty) Constable:

For 10th pass candidates; recruits for paramilitary forces like BSF, CISF, and CRPF.

SSC CPO (Central Police Organisation):

For graduates; recruits Sub-Inspectors for Delhi Police and CAPFs.

SSC JE (Junior Engineer):

For candidates with a Diploma/Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. 

General Eligibility & Application

Age Limit:

Generally 18 to 32 years, varying by post. Age relaxations apply for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwD (10 years) categories.

Registration:

Candidates must use the SSC One-Time Registration (OTR) facility to apply.

Application Fee:

₹100 for general/OBC males. Exempted for all female candidates, SC/ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen.

Pattern:

Most exams follow a multi-tier structure involving Computer-Based Examinations (CBT) with objective-type questions.
