(NTPC, Group D, ALP, JE)

primarily feature a multi-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) pattern focusing on

Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness/Current Affairs.

Exams typically last 60–90 minutes, featuring objective-type questions with a \(1/3\) negative marking scheme for incorrect answers.

 1. RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular CategoriesStages:

CBT 1, CBT 2, Typing Skill Test/CBAT, Document Verification (DV), Medical Exam.

CBT 1 Pattern: 100 questions

(Mathematics: 30, Reasoning: 30, General Awareness: 40) in 90 minutes.

CBT 2 Pattern: 120 questions (Mathematics: 35, Reasoning: 35, General Awareness: 50) in 90 minutes.

Syllabus:

Number system, decimals, LCM/HCF, ratios, percentage, time & work, algebra, geometry, history, geography, current affairs.

 2. RRB Group D (Level 1) Stages:

CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, Medical Exam.

CBT Pattern:

100 questions (General Science: 25, Maths: 25, Reasoning: 30, General Awareness/Current Affairs: 20) in 90 minutes.

Negative Marking: (1/3) marks deducted per wrong answer.

 3. RRB ALP & Technician (Assistant Loco Pilot) Stages: CBT 1, CBT 2 (Part A & B), Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT - for ALP), DV.

CBT 1: 75 questions in 60 minutes (Maths, Reasoning, General Science, Current Affairs).

CBT 2 (Part A): 100 questions (Maths, Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering, General Awareness).

CBT 2 (Part B): 75 questions (Relevant Trade Subject). 

4. RRB JE (Junior EngineerStages: CBT 1, CBT 2, DV, Medical Exam.

CBT 1: 100 questions (Maths, Reasoning, General Awareness, General Science).

CBT 2: 150 questions (General Awareness, Physics/Chemistry, Environment, Technical Abilities).
